We
are pleased to announce that on June 15th 2008, the first East
Anglian Air Ambulance Charity Motorcycle Run supported by Copdock
Classic Motorcycle Club will take place.
Starting
from Washbrook Service Station at Copdock, the bikes will depart
at about 11am on route to RAF Honington the home of the Suffolk
Air Ambulance. On arrival riders will be able to park up and
enjoy watching a 2 lane ¼ mile sprint featuring classic
and modern sprint machinery.
Also
we will be celebrating a special achievement! 40 years ago
this year Alf Hagon blasted down the Honington runway to record
the UK’s first 200+mph speed (206mph). Alf will be guest
of honour on the day and will be bringing along the mighty
1260cc v-twin JAP for all to see.
To
celebrate there will be several specialist 200mph machines
on hand to try and re-create Alf’s achievement. Running
the length of the main runway you will see if these guys can
emulate or better Alf’s 40-year old course record!
Everybody
is welcome to take part on the run, but if you wish to go onto
RAF Honington and
enjoy the Sprint event and the usual end of run facilities YOU MUST pre
register. Cost is £5.00 per person. Remember this is all for a
great charity and lets make it a brilliant day out.

the registration form from HERE and

cost of less than 2 pints of ale. You’ll get a great

of
the MOD.
