The story so far…………………

Early in 1992 a small group of Classic motorcyclists were enjoying a drink in the village of Hadleigh, Suffolk discussing their favourite subject motorcycles and motorcycling. Gradually the idea of showing their own collection of bikes emerged and to open the show to anybody with or without an interest in our chosen hobby.

From these humble beginnings this show is now considered by many, as East Anglia’s premier motorcycle show. The show’s success is attributed to its unique style with a broad-based interest for non-motorcyclists and enthusiasts alike. The show has a real family feel, with local residents, friends and relatives all pitching in to ensure the day goes as smoothly as possible.

The Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club’s sole purpose is to stage its Annual show and two motorcycle fun runs held during the May & August Bank Holidays. It has no members other than its Committee, at present this consists of 11 dedicated souls, but to actually run our events we rely on a whole army of volunteer helpers to whom we are eternally grateful. This next show will once again be staged at the Trinity Park (originally called the Suffolk Showground) which has a showground area on 96 acres

A measure of the success of our events is that we now average over 8,000 visitor’s to our show and at our May 03 fun run a staggering 600 motorcycles attended and all arrived safely at the end of a 40 mile run.

The fact that everybody involved in staging the clubs events are able to give their time and efforts for free has given the club an unexpected spin off. As a totally non-profit making organisation we are able to donate the monies left, after the shows expenses have been paid, to various charities. To date this has totalled more than £70,000, which has, been given to a whole variety of good causes. Presentation
