Peter Robinson - Bike Active - May 16th 2008

"Thanks to the generosity of the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club over the last four years, we have been able to offer hundreds of cycle rides to disabled adults.

Using our specially-built cycles, we ride every Friday at Alton Water. Thanks for all of us."

The Coasters Scooter Club - 15th Copdock Classic Motorcycle Show, October 1st 2006

To all the Organisers of Copdock Motorcycle Show.

On behalf of all the members of the Coasters Scooter Club, I would like to thank you all for putting on such a wonderful Motorcycle show. It was something you should all be very proud of and it was a real honour to be given a chance to be able to exhibit our scooters in both the show and on a club stand.

Although I come from a Scootering background, I have always admired the Beautiful British Bikes. And coming from Felixstowe I also have a lot of friends that own and build bikes, so I know how much time and effort goes into making them the wonderful show pieces that they are.

Once again thank you for such a brilliant day, and I/we look forward to being able to attend next years show.

Well done!

Steve Last

Ben - Woodbridge Rugby Club Fun Run, May 14th 2006

Just like to thank everyone for a superb day. Its only my second run but it certainly wont be the last. The route was superb and so was the food at the BBQ. Also, huge thanks to the men and women that stood at junctions all day to direct us all.

Thanks again.

Ben

Carl Robinson - 14th Copdock Classic Motorcycle Show, October 2nd 2005

I just thought I say how much my daughter and me enjoyed the show this year. JP Goy was excellent and well worth the entrance fee by himself.

There seemed to be the right balance of things for both the bike enthusiasts like myself, and for the kiddies who didn't want to go home even though she could hardly walk another step.

Could you pass on my thanks to the everyone involved, as I realise just how much effort goes into these things and usually for very little thanks.

Regards

Carl

Julian Bye - 14th Copdock Classic Motorcycle Show, October 2nd 2005

I'd just like to say thanks to all the guys of the Copdock bike club & all the volunteers for an excellent show on Sunday.

I must say JP Goy was an amazing spectacle and a very good entertainer and the junior dispay team (can't remember there name)

Thanks for an enjoyable event & hope 2006 will be as good.

Thanks

Jules

It's great to hear you enjoyed the show. The junior display team you were trying to think of, was called No Limits

Peter & Ann Robinson, Lowestoft - 12Tth CCMC Show October 5th 2003

Hello to everyone (Janet in particular who will be busy with e-mails over the next few days).

Well, Ann (wife) and me (Peter) have just visited our first CCMC show........and as you say on your site; where have we been? It was utterly fantastic! I only got to know about it last year - too late to go. So made sure we came to this years. We only live up the road in Lowestoft after moving from Leeds 15 years ago.

Recently returning to 'Biking' after a rest (family) East Anglia is a fine place for pursuing the m/cycle bug. Lovely uncomplicated roads, ideal for our type of biking - cruising. Ann was well pleased with a leather coat she got from one of the stalls and I stocked up on 'Indian' badges. I've sent an e-mail up to our youngest in West Yorkshire and can confirm there will be a few more visitors next year.

I'm semi-retired now and have some spare time on my hands. If you need any extra volunteers to help, you only need to say. No problem if you're well staffed. Whatever, I'm just writing to say how much we really did enjoy the show. And firmly agree with those that say it's East Anglia's premier event. Fantastic. Lot and lots of luck in the future. And what a truly spectacular sight of all those bikes parked in the field!!

Derek Howard - 12Tth CCMC Show October 5th 2003

Could you confirm if there is a misprint on question 22?...should it read G18 or perhaps G9... I cannot find any reference to a Matchless G19.

Editors response...
Thanks for the query Derek, I've checked with the Quiz Master and I believe you could be correct...apologies for this!

Sheila Lucas & Colin Taber, Ipswich - 12Tth CCMC Show October 5th 2003

This is the first year we have been to the motorcycle show, and must say how we thoroughly enjoyed it even though were not usually motor bike enthusiasts, there was something for everyone. The atmosphere was brilliant, so was the weather and overall running it. We will certainly be back in future years. Keep up the good work.

Neil Morley - 12Tth CCMC Show October 5th 2003

A couple of queries related to this years' show - a great event!

1. Who presented the awards during the awards ceremony at the Copdock Show 2003? He was a noted motorcycling celebrity?

2. My club (National Autocycle and Cyclemotor Club) won the award for best club stand. Was wondering if it would be possible to have some duplicates of the trophy made up (two figurines) as I need to pass the official one around club members but would like to consider having another one made up for posterity! Can you recall who produced the trophies?

Editors response...
1. The celebrity guest was Wayne Kershaw (a presenter on many Motorcycling programs on Sky TV). Wayne kindly was the compair for the X-treme Trials Display Team at the Show and kindly stepped in at the last minute to cover as our planned Celebrity was unable to attend - so we extend our thanks to him

2. I will email you directly with who to contact within the CCMC to follow up this query

Len Matthews, Vincent Owners Club (Suffolk Section) - 12Tth CCMC Show October 5th 2003

On behalf of all the VOC members that were present at the Show last Sunday we would like to say a big Than You to you and your team for a wonderful day. Special thanks to Graeme who suggested that we could set up our display in the marquee, rather than outside. That made a world of difference. We were very pleased with the support we got from our own members, one of which rode down from Leicester; one was even in the Samba Band!

We hope all went well from your point of view and that your chosen charities will benefit greatly. And wasn't it wonderful to see the sun shine all day!

Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club Fun Run 25th June 2000

Well Done CCMC

My wife and I have just returned home after a very enjoyable motorcycle run from Washbrook Service Station to the Shipwreck Public House at Shotley. The organisation of this event, held by the CCMC was, as usual, up to the very high standards to which we have been accustomed to in the past. We arrived at the start point at about 10:15 and already there was a large gathering of machines and riders, and with no trouble at all we were guided to our parking place. After the usual cuppa we took the long walk up the hill towards Boss Hog's to view the bikes and see if we could see any old friends. Bikes viewed and friends found, we made our way back to our bike just as the first wave of bikes was about to set off. The start was very well attended with CCMC stewards and the usual presence of Police bikes/unmarked bikes.

Our journey took in the villages of Hintlesham, Bildeston, Nedging Tye, Barking, Great Blakenham and Needham Market before joining the A14 for a quick blast, turning off at the A137 slip road then down past the ski slope and carrying on through the villages of Woolverstone and Chelmondiston, ending at the Shipwreck Public House at Shotley Marina for a drink and some food. The weather stayed fine throughout, although with overcast skies, and after hot dogs and beefburgers, and the obligatory viewing of the gathered bikes, we made our way home.

Well done and thanks again.
