Fun Run to The Strangers Home at Bradfield on Sunday 15th May 2005....

Here is a brief report from one of the many riders that took part.

Off to Washbrook service station to meet up for a run of 40 miles over to The Strangers Home, Bradfield, Nr Manningtree. The sun was out and it was a fantastic day to be on the bike as thought by the other 615 bikes that turned up. What a variety there was too, just about all marques were there, as was all types from classics and cruisers to sports and even a trike, scooter and monkey bike. We all rolled up and parked till it was time for the off, time to grab a coffee and socialise. The run was staggered into smaller groups with the marshals on all junctions and roundabouts. The route was a good mix of roads with the run holding together well. We all arrived at the pub and were parked up; nice touch here was the marshals handing out bits of wood for the sidestands to rest on, as you were parked up. Time to grab a beer and a burger and more socialising – as only bikers do - and have a look around at the bikes, a laid back atmosphere that was the hallmark of the day till time to head off home. All in all it was a well run event run by the Copdock CMC in exchange for a small donation in the bucket to cover costs....... Thanks for the report Peter!
